1 - Students will be able to define the main attributes of surrealist artwork.

2 - Students will explore what makes something cute or creepy.

3 - Students will explore compositional techniques.

4 - Students will create an oil pastel drawing showing abstraction that will create cute or creepy characteristics.

Essential Question: How can we create a large scale mural to celebrate a diverse community?

​

Focus Artists:  Bansky, Wall Therapy Rochester, Stephen Powers, Swoon, JR.

Technology use: Students collaborated on the best way to enlarge their image.

Students learned about the community at the School of Holy Childhood.  

​

Allendale students collaborated with the staff and students in designing, planning, and executing the mural.
